Overview

In this article, we will review how the eFax integration works and what fields transfer over. Please note that your eFax application needs to have the capabilities to forward to the given email address provided at onboarding.


eFax Reader

The eFax reader simplifies the transfer of hospital referrals to the CRM through email provided during onboarding. It extracts key lead details from PDFs sent by hospitals, automatically adding lead profiles to the CRM. This information is then easily accessible on the dashboard and in the documents section on the leads profile, enabling users to efficiently follow up on leads.

eFax Reader Overview


Keyword Alert Information

If keyword alerts are set up in the environment, then the keyword alert will populate on the leads profile.


General Information Form

The General Information Form will populate the information in the CRM from the fax. This is typically the first name, last name, DOB, and SSN.


Documents Information

The PDF will be stored in the documents section for review. The file size can be up to 35MB.


Note: The referring contact information will be added to the profile if the information is on the eFax PDF and can be identified.


 FAQ's

The eFax is pushing the wrong name to the CRM, why is this happening?

  • When you see this happen more than once, please reach out to your CSM team member or our integrations team (integrations.support@alineops.com) to take a look at the example. This typically will happen if our eFax reader is unfamiliar with the eFax being pushed through. This is a simple solution for us to fix by running the fax through our bot to teach it how to read the PDF. 

I am unsure of the email to push the eFax to, how do I find this?

  • Your admin should have this information handy, however, feel free to reach out to your CSM team member or our integrations team (integrations.support@alineops.com) for this information. 

What eFax integrations do we work with?

  • Because this is an e-reader its not considered an integration. This works best by sending the eFax through the given email upon onboarding. Please note that your eFax application needs to have the capabilities to forward to the given email address provided at onboarding.

Why was my eFax not converted to a referral? Why am I not seeing the referral in the system?

  • If you are having issues with this, the eFax scraper can only identify certain data points if its unable to locate those data points then the lead will have to manually be created. Please note, if there is a common format that is being sent from the hospitals, we will need about 5-10 examples sent over to our integrations team (integrations.support@alineops.com ) to connect with our development team and run these through our eFax scraper.
