The Office 365 integration connects Aline CRM to your Microsoft Outlook mailbox and calendar, so your email and appointments stay in sync without double entry.
What it does
- Two-way email sync. Emails you send to or receive from an existing individual in the CRM are recorded automatically on that individual's profile as Email In or Email Out activities, including the message body as a note and any attachments.
- Two-way calendar sync. Events you create in Outlook appear on your Aline CRM calendar, and activities you schedule in Aline CRM appear on your Outlook calendar.
- Send email from the CRM. Compose and send email directly from an individual's profile, with formatting, images, attachments, links, and multiple recipients.
Who does what
- Your Microsoft 365 administrator registers an application in your organization's Azure portal and configures the integration host in Aline CRM. See Office 365 Integration: Admin Setup.
- Each user authorizes their own Outlook account once, so the CRM can sync their mailbox and calendar on their behalf. See Office 365 Integration: User Setup.
What you need before you start
- A Microsoft 365 (Outlook) account for each user who will sync.
- Microsoft 365 administrator access to register the application and grant consent.
- Aline CRM administrator access to configure the integration host.
Good to know
- Email sync is always on once you authorize. Calendar sync can be turned on or off per user.
- Email and calendar are set up together. Calendar-only is not available today; see the FAQ.
