Does the GEO IP Data on a Form Submit Override Existing Contact Address Information?
No. In Enquire MAP, if an address exists for a contact, the GEO IP data is logged with all website visits/ form submits/ related but the contact's address is only updated with GEO-IP data if the contact does not have an address.
A form of geolocation, GeoIP refers to the method of locating a computer terminal's geographic location by identifying that terminal's IP address. Though GeoIP can pinpoint a terminal's location to a city, it requires the use of a GeoIP database as well as an understanding of APIs to implement correctly.
